The main objective of IWoCS is to discuss cutting-edge research in the field of combinatorial search. The workshop will focus on how these combinatorial problems are solved using Artificial Intelligence techniques and how these solutions can be applied to problems that are not generally considered as part of the field of artificial intelligence (e.g. Operations Research).

The specific topics of interest are within, but not limited to:

  • Bounding and pruning techniques
  • Automated Planning
  • Learning in Search
  • Satisfiability Search
  • Comparison of Heuristic vs. Evolutionary Search
  • AI Search Techniques in Operations Research
  • Combinatorial puzzles
  • Meta-reasoning and search
  • Methodology and critiques of current practice
  • Portfolios of search algorithms
  • Real-time search
  • Self-configuring and self-tuning algorithms
  • Constraint search

The workshop will be held at room H1, Edificio San Agustín.
